Morning all — the numbers are in for the week just gone (5–12 July). 765 captions from 46 captioneers, a healthy 7% up on last week’s 714. The vote tally eased back a touch to 1,147 (from 1,255), but the quality was anything but quiet.
Caption Champion
@Stephen_Bean finishes top of the pile again, gathering 138 votes from 46 captions — and by a good distance too. Behind him, @James_Lennox put together a fine week for 2nd (88), @Al_Overy took 3rd (79), with @Chris_Keegan (57) and @Dave_Bryan (53) completing the top five.

Special word for @Al_Overy, whose 4.39 came across a full 18 captions with no rollover padding — the most substantial quality week of the lot.
Most #1 Captions
@Al_Overy led the way with 3 photo wins, while @Stephen_Bean, @Dave_Bryan, @Mark_England and @Jo1 each landed 2.
Milestone
A standout personal week for @Dot_Old (already up in the Quality Award table). She landed her first-ever “Twosome” — holding both the #1 and #2 captions on a single photo (the rusty car): “It’s past its primer” on 14 votes and “Ford Rustang” on 8, seeing off the whole field. And in the very same week she ticked past 3,000 career caption votes — now 3,006, good for #66 on the all-time list. A fine little double.
Community Spirit
The votes don’t count themselves. @Jo1 was the week’s most generous voter (84 placed) and backed it up with a keen eye — 30 finder points from 10 discoveries. @Kathleen_Ralph topped the finder table outright with 82 points from 39 discoveries, all while placing 68 votes of her own. Grand stuff, both.
No new prizes or Tina Awards to report this week — but with Dot’s first Twosome and 3,000-vote milestone above, a strong showing all round. Keep 'em coming, and see you back here next Sunday.
