Top scorers who don’t vote enough for others (…and you know who you are…)
please discuss…
Personally, I don’t have a problem with anyone who votes at least once for every contest, so a total of 21 per week is ok. More is better of course, but anyone putting in less than 21 per week should be (insert terrible torture/revenge fantasy here) with a rampant goat, whilst wearing (insert humiliating costume here) and listening to ‘The Final Countdown’ by Europe (I’m not giving you the option of choice on this last one, since it’s the worst song ever recorded).
Thank you, Mr Winner, as I am also guilty at times of a poor voting ratio I must now listen to The Final Countdown continuously for the rest of the day. How about a Hall of Shame/Fame list for those who vote less/more than half of the amount they receive from others? Although really just a bit of fun, it would certainly make me vote more.
but for now, please join in all you fellow offenders…
“we’re leaving together, but still it’s farewell…”
Brian - in my opinion people contribute to the site by voting generously and/or by writing captions that make us laugh (and receive lots of votes). If you’re suggesting that people should vote as highly as they score, this would be unfair on the best captioneers IMO. If they gave a reasonable (average) number of votes they’d effectively be penalised by their high caption scores.
I spend a little less time here nowadays but as a rule I try to at least vote twice the amount of captions I enter (and keep my all time vote score double of entered captions)…and that really isn’t that hard.
I hear you Chris
and thanks Guido for your generous spirit. Might be a good opportunity at this point to thank all the super-generous captioneers who must surely rob themselves of higher places by voting for the rest of us meanies - Michael Winner, Tracy Davidson, Hercules Rockefeller to name but a few
