Just a note. In the interest of objectivity, and to get a single candidate from each month, I used the same selection metric across the board: General vote placement + Contributor vote placement, with Supervotes as a tie-break. Apologies to those who missed out (especially Phil, whose Zebra Ark caption really did deserve to make the list and only missed out by a single Supervote).
