I was wondering if the stars could be made harder to achieve. Perhaps something like:
- grey star: 25+ votes
- silver star: 50+ votes
- gold star: 100+ votes
- 2 gold stars: 1000+ votes
- 3 gold stars: 10000+ votes

No worries here. As it stands the maximum rating is pretty easily achievable.
On a bit of a tangent, is there any desire for votes received stars? Maybe the system could include 1-5 stars of one colour for votes given, above 1-5 stars of a different colour for votes received? To be honest I’m indifferent, but others may like or dislike the idea.
Regardless, I think Mr. Bean’s values are good, although I’d leave the first star at 10 just to encourage newbies.
I’ve now made the change, with Mr Bean’s thresholds, and also James’ suggestion of 10 votes for the minimum star.

Thank you Chris, itÂs great to have a long term goal. IÂve noticed the ‘supervote donation thread’ posts comments automatically when supervotes are donated. Perhaps there could be a 'star achievement thread to announce when everyone achieves any new star.
Perhaps the stars could also be shown on our profiles.
Could all of this be incorporated into the league idea, if it were to be looked at as a possibility.
Hi Rob, I think IÂve just understood your idea above! Did you mean separate divisions/leagues for those on the same number of stars? If so, itÂs an interesting idea but I still like keeping everyone together as it is. Some of the divisions could be really small as well.
