I’d like to thank all the generous captioneers who funded the 2023 cash prizes: @The_Wolf, @Stephen_Bean, @Crunchy_Chords, @Vivvy_En, @Mr_Dome, @Vanessa_the_Guesser, @James_Lennox and @Al_Overy - thanks to your generosity we were able to give monthly £50 prize, bonus prizes and nearly £300 of Dave Awards. It was a fantastic year for prizes! 
2024 Prize Fund
We’ve already had the first contribution to the 2024 pool - thank you @Crunchy_Chords!
There is also £105 to carry over from 2023, and I will put in £200.
We aim to fund a single cash prize of £50 per month, and any excess funds will go to the Dave Awards 2024. So we’ll need to raise at least £600.

Regarding the Dave Awards 2024, we’re going to put our heads together to come up with many different possible award types, then have a vote to choose the ones we want to run.
That way we can choose whether we want to stick with the current “elite” format, or cast the net a little wider.
@Stephen_Bean has very kindly agreed to keep his regular contributions going throughout 2024. Thank you
