I just voted for the Matilda caption, but my name is showing on another caption. I went back to see if I clicked the wrong one, but I didn’t. I clicked the Matilda caption. Since we have three choices, I then, clicked the scattered ashes caption, and it showed the correct one.

Hi Kathleen, it looks like your votes are showing against the Matilda and ashes captions so they’re correct at the moment.

Is anyone else having issues?

I am going to restart the poll to make the outcome private. Apologies to those who have voted so far but you may need to vote again

I haven’t voted yet mate but I think Karen O had an issue with the ‘One that got away’ vote. (separate thread)

Is the vote now button supposed to disappear when you’ve voted. I pressed it a couple of times. Not sure if I’ve voted. I’m using an android phone.

The button stuck around when I placed my vote, and I see an “undo vote” button next to it

Congrats on winning the Big Award, John! I absolutely loved this caption!

What’s great to see is that every caption that was up for the vote had people for whom it was in their top three. Congrats to all the monthly winners.

Thanks again to Chris and The Wolf. This was a fun way to end the year! Merry Christmas, everyone, and Happy Captioning in the New Year!

Well done, John. When you look at your body of work it’s amazing to think it’s all been produced in a little over a year since your return. Outstanding.

The Captioneer in me looks forward to all your future efforts. The competitor in me still hopes you take another 11 year break… Nah, you raise the bar, which is fantastic :+1:

EDIT: Also, big props to Wolf and Chris for the Daves. Very successful… Not for me, personally, but very successful in general

Well that was a nice surprise! Many thanks to all who voted for my caption. I remember very well staring at that picture and thinking “I can’t make anything out of this” until about twenty minutes later. Often think back to that when I’m staring blankly at another photo now. Big congratulations to all the other winners who are consistently good as the awards demonstrate.
