No more emails for new comments

Someone pointed out that it’s very irritating getting emailed about every new comment they receive on caption.me. 

I also get twitchy when I get too many emails, so I can understand the concern here. I have disabled these comment notification emails for now. In future, I’ll make this configurable, so people are able to turn the emails back on if they want.

As always, I’m interested to hear your feedback, and if you’d like to vote on the caption.me “todo list”, that will help me prioritise improvements to the site.

Hi Chris. Could captioneers get them as Private Messages in Caption.me instead? I know personally I’d be more likely to see it that way as when the emails were switched on they were going to my junk email folder. Plus I quite often don’t look at all the comments.

Would definitely make sense to have a “comment inbox” on the site. I’ll add to the todo list
