Do we really need 40 photos of a football game? Or regular pictures of the same dog or squirrel? Or numerous pictures of the same style? Let’s get imaginative people, post different stuff to challenge and get the creative juices flowing!

Yes, I don’t actively police the upcoming photos but perhaps I should. It may be a good idea to show the top three photos submitted per person, in order that everyone is fairly represented on the upcoming photos page?

I agree, I also don’t understand why the same kind of boring pics keep getting voted up.

I agree too, although I’m not in a position to complain as I don’t look at the photos beforehand at all as I prefer ‘the art of surprise’. I think I’ll maybe start posting photos too as sometimes they are a bit samey

Just had a count-up (I'm sad like that, lol).  74 consecutive footie photos!

Today, another 72 footie pics.  You can have too much of a good thing! ;)

About a hundred footie pics today.  I’m going to start counting them instead of sheep to get me off to sleep at night.  ;)

Maybe there’s a way to add a rule to the routine that imports photos from the Flickr group to caption.me? …something like this: it only takes the first 10 photos added to the group by any one Flickr user per day?

Or a simpler, more drastic measure: remove the photo–spamming user from the Flickr group!   :^)

I have removed users from the group before, although they were pretty angry about it. 

I think the approach of rate-limiting per user is a good idea.

Ultimately I’m going to change photo submission to work directly on caption.me, and then I’ll use average photo scores per submitter to govern the rate at which they can upload.

Presumably excel Ant gets their photos from there or a similar site.
