Hi Everyone,
I’ve set up a Caption.Me fantasy football league on the official UEFA fantasy football site for anyone that wants join in.
It’s free to enter and there are prizes up for grabs. The web address to register is here.
Once you’ve registered your team, to enter the league you go to “Join a League”, select “private league” then enter the following league code 103657-26515
If you want to join in but don’t have time to pick your team at the moment, you can register, click on the option for an automatic team to be picked for you, then you can join the Caption.Me league and go back to change your team later. You can make as many changes as you like before the tournament starts on 8th June.
You don’t need to be a football boffin to join in and if you want you could just set up an automatic team and leave it for the whole tournament or you can make substitutions along the way.
If you’re having problems getting set up, please add a comment here or drop me a private message and I’ll do my best to help.
What do you think folks? Are you in?
Fraser.
Hi Fraser,
Great idea, You can count me in
I’m in!
Looking at the team names, at least that’s one way of getting Scotland to the Euros, eh Fraser?
(:P)
Hee Hee, good one Paul. Let the banter commence.
I’m not one of the Scots who’ll be supporting ABE I’ll be supporting the Netherlands who are my usual team once Scotland are out.
The league’s looking good, so far we’ve got:
Me
Steve Hann
John & Harry Llamas
Paul
Guido
and Dan when he gets the chance to register.
Not sure how many more folk will join in, it’s not as if we’re a competitive bunch on Caption.Me
Hello fantasy footballers, that’s 8 in the league so far.
Here’s a couple of useful websites to get some team and player info.
Fantasy Football Scout
Total FPL
A couple of people have had problems getting the league code to work, this seems to be when it is copied and pasted but it works okay if you just type it in.
(:P)
I’m hoping the greece russia and ukrane reserves get a run out or I had it .never spent £100,000,000 so quick. The wife has.
Is there a way to see which players have been chosen on other teams?
Hi Guido
If you look at the transfers page you can see for each player the percentage of teams they are in. This gives a good indication of which players are worth picking. Shortly after the first match of the tournament kicks off we should be able to see each others teams.
Fraser.
:D<
Good Morning Everyone.
There’s still time to enter a team before the tournament starts on Friday, we’ve got 10 in the league so far, including 2 ladies.
As mentioned above, if you’re not too bothered about spending time selecting a squad you can register and select the option for the website to select all of your initial squad for you and just leave it the same for the whole tournament. There’s a reasonable chance that one of the 6 matchday prizewinners will be won by someone who just picks a team and then doesn’t tinker with it.
Fraser.
It has been brought to my attention (;)) that my team ‘The Emeralds’ are top of the league!! Here we go, here we go, here we gooo!
If you’re not happy with any of your players scores from a particular day’s matches you can substitute them with players on your bench. You have until the 1st match starts the following day to do it. See the rules page under substitutions for details.
I’ll be changing all 3 of my players that played.
Ofcourse I selected an unavailable player I can only change the 12th pfff
Hope you’re all enjoying the football and the fantasy football.
For those of you that are tinkering with your team, you’ve got until 4.45pm tomorrow to do any transfers. You get one for free and any others will cost 3 points. You also have a wildcard which when you use it, you can do as many transfers as you like without the 3 point per player deduction.
After the group stages are over you will get unlimited transfers for the first knockout stage matches (the quarter finals) so I’ll probably be using the wildcard for the semi-finals.
If that doesn’t make sense, you can check the link to the rules in my post above of 9th June.
Fraser.
Only just seen this.
I’m in
Welcome to the league James, I like your style, straight in at the top. B)
Transfer time folks, if you not done so already. You have until 7.30 tonight to get them done for the last matches of the group stage.
So sad England lost by penalties, I wanted them to go to the final! (More than the Dutch team that supposedly was torn by egos, arrogance and an air that smelled like Fresian cow droppings). They kept it well hid, but now some sad stories are revealed. Van Persie refused to talk to the Press because he simple felt himself superior, groups of players hurdling together and players staying in their room all day. Even one was packing his bags to leave before the match! They are crashed in Dutch media, and I hope they will leave all the arrogant millionaires at home next time so the people who pay more than a 1000 euro to go and see the Dutch team abroad will get to see a footballmatch… not a bunch of overpaid whining little boys that can’t have a cookie whenever they want one. Their biggest opponent was themselves…nice going for ridiculously overpaid so called “professionals”!
Well said Guido - I’m glad to see you’re not bitter. I am half Spanish so have a good default team once England crash out.
The Netherlands was my default team with Scotland not qualifying as usual so I’m onto Spain too. That’s them jinxed as well now.
