Personally I had 2 or 3 captions ready for it. Alas, it’s down the line now. Hopefully ChrisB doesn’t delete it though, as I reckon its second coming still has potential.

James you can still add captions to the old photo.

If anyone has captions for an old photo perhaps it should be ok for us to add captions to that old photo and put an author comment on it so people notice it and might give it votes. Worth a forum discussion perhaps.

I’m sure we can build it into the competition if people want to have another crack at old photos occasionally

Darn. It’s all good, the Captions I was thinking of were repitition dependant. Specifically:

I was thinking along the same lines as James. That’s why I voted for that picture. Sorry Stephen.

Gosh, no problem Willie and James, I was just scared it might cause problems. Come to think of it we could all have copied James and done Duplicat! (just joking - winky face)

It would have been fun, but I think there are lots of people who are not too keen on repetition, even the ones that are still funny when the context changes (how will I recognize you, don’t you just hate it when someone shows up wearing the same thing as you, superglue never stops being funny, Gulliver etc.).
By the way, I think my caption would have been something about deja vu. I think I’ve forgotten already. Not that I think we should do it, but wouldn’t it be funny if a bunch of us posted the exact same caption just to see what the reaction would be? (Come to think of it, I think there’s a meme going around Facebook about the death of the person who invented cut, copy and paste - which shows a comment and all the replies are exactly the same as the first comment.) Anyway, I think it’s best that those excess duplicates were removed. Maybe just one as a test case though, to see what reception it gets? Just a thought.
