Where did the ‘Puss and Boats’ caption go… was it deleted?
I liked it best because the picture clearly looks like a female cat, reeking of femininity… so I thought it was fitting with the picture. I am fairly sure I voted for it, but when I went to check and see, after reading the comment section, it was gone. I always try to vote for the first caption, if I see a duplicate and I didn’t see a duplicate.
Was the puss and boots, from the suggested edit already up when I voted for it, or had it NOT been accepted, YET? I do remember seeing the caption ‘Puss and Shoots,’ because I didn’t get the meaning behind that one.
If the Puss and boats caption with the votes, was deleted because the suggested edit, one was up first -then I will vote for that one, but would just like some clarification on what transpired.
Also some clarification… I assume a suggested edit is not actually a caption until it is accepted… is that correct?
I just re-read the comments and the other puss and boats was deleted, so that answers one of my questions, but I am still not clear on the suggested edits… if I suggest an edit and the captioneer does not immediately respond, it sometimes happens that someone else will then post my suggestion first. Now they may have read it or they may have just thought of it on their own, but either way I cannot say that it is already captioned because the captioneer has not accepted it yet and posted it. Perhaps the captioneer that was complaining has a valid point… that only the intended captioneer and the suggesting edit- captioneer should be able to see the suggestion.
Is that possible?
