A slightly quieter week on the numbers — **763 captions** from **46 captioneers** , drawing **1,261 votes** (down from 823 captions and 1,489 votes the week before). Plenty of quality at the sharp end, though, and a familiar name holding the crown. ## 🏆 Caption Champion **@Dan_Nicholls** tops the leaderboard for the second week running, with **163 votes** from 59 captions — and this time it was comfortable: a 40-vote cushion over the chasing pack. **@Dave_Bryan** took second (123), **@Stephen_Bean** third (121) and **@James_Lennox** fourth (104). ## ✍ Top Captions The three best-scoring captions whose voting closed this week: > **["First of all we need to buy some legs for this table."](https://www.caption.me/854897)** > > Stephen Bean, 17/06/26 8:01pm 24 votes — @Stephen_Bean > **[Discrimination complaint filed by Tinky Winky and Poe](https://www.caption.me/854380)** > > Brian Butterfield, 13/06/26 8:04pm 22 votes — @Brian_Butterfield > **["He smells, and he's squirming, and his fur's making me sneeze." "For pity's...](https://www.caption.me/854804)** > > James Lennox, 16/06/26 8:07pm 22 votes — @James_Lennox ## 💎 Quality Award **@Dave_Bryan** was the standout for quality — **5.59 votes per caption** across a full slate of **22 captions** , no rollover flattery there. **@James_Lennox** wasn’t far behind on 4.95 (21 captions). @Vanessa_the_Guesser posted the highest raw ratio at 6.00, though over just 6 captions, so some of that score carried over from the previous week. ## 🤝 Community Spirit **@Kathleen_Ralph** kept the wheels turning — 68 votes placed through the week alongside 50 finder discoveries, a genuine eye for a good caption before the crowd catches on. ## 🥇 Most #1 Captions **@Dan_Nicholls** wasn’t just top of the leaderboard — he also landed the most outright winners, with **5 #1 captions**. **@James_Lennox** claimed 3. ## Closing A leaner week by volume, but the captions at the top were as sharp as ever. Thanks to everyone who wrote, voted and snapped — see you next Sunday. 🐾 ---

Amazing quality, Dave and James. Well done, Both!
